"Magic"al May Med Memories
What's "FE" Stand For and What's It All About?

FE stands for Fish Extender. On the outside of your stateroom door there is a silver fish clip that DCL uses to leave you messages. The Fish Extender is a pocketed extension that hangs from the fish and it's become a fun, DIS cruisers tradition to use these Fish Extenders to exchange inexpensive gifts while on their cruise. Go HERE for more information about them, how to make or buy one and ideas of the types of gifts guests have come up with in the past. Go HERE directly to ebay for a cute one that is customizable for $25 plus $5 shipping.

Fish Extender Signup Is CLOSED! Click on the links below for spreadsheets for Group A and Group B.

Hi guys
I’ve finalised the FE info. It can be downloaded from this link: http://www.4shared.com/dir/37055774/790312e5/DCL_-_May_15_-_FE_documents.html
There is 4 docs- a combined document, an A list and a B list, plus a copy of this message. If you have any problems downloading the documents – let me have your email by PM and I will forward it to you.
Lists A and B
There are two lists – A and B.
List A has 19 staterooms – 52 people
List B has 18 staterooms – 51 people
I’ve tried to equalise the numbers of men, women and kids between the two. I looked at splitting adults only into one list and families only into the other but this was very skewed for numbers.
So this split is the best I can come up with. It’s not perfect but is fairly close to equal.
You are only obliged to give gifts to those in the same list as you (so if you are A, you must give to all rooms that are also A’s).
If you choose to give to any cabins that are on the other list, then that is absolutely fine but there is no obligation for them to give a return gift.
Nobody should feel guilty if they get a gift from someone from the other list.
Room number changes
I’ve indicated those people who are considering an upgrade at port. There’s a handful so I plan on issuing a revised room number list onboard.
If you need to let me know a new room number from an upgrade I will be at 2 places on embarkation day (my pic is in roll call on the website so you can recognise me):
• I will be at the general DIS meet and greet on embarkation day (May 15).
• I will also spend the 15 minutes prior to the listed start time of first seating waiting opposite the entrance to the Buena Vista Theatre on deck 5.
If you do upgrade your room, it is essential you use one of these two opportunities to notify me of the new room number.
I will deliver a revised room number list to each FE stateroom (everyone will get both A and B lists) before the start of late dinner seating.
So, please don’t try to distribute your gifts until after you get the revised cabin number list in your fish (of the fish extender fame!).
Other stuff
Please take note if there is food intolerance mentioned for a stateroom – there is a diabetic who can’t have sugar and one nut allergy sufferer. Thanks!
Where I have listed character likes and dislikes – these aren’t rules to follow but where you have a choice in how you distribute character-related gifts – it might be nice to see if these likes/dislikes can be followed.
Otherwise have fun!
See you on the cruise.
Jane
